Students
Plagiarism and copying
Students must adhere to the assessment guidelines contained in the Student Information Handbook. Students must acknowledge the work of others. Failure to acknowledge the works of others will be deemed to be plagiarism and treated as contravention of Australian and International Copyright Law and will be dealt with as per Institute Policy
Staff
Staff must comply with copyright laws. Infringement of copyright is not permissible. The following conditions apply at Yorke Institute:
- Staff must also acknowledge the copyright holder by stating the title of the work, its author/artist and the name of the publisher
- All work created during the employment with Yorke Institute, at the premises of Yorke Institute or off-site belongs to Yorke Institute.
- Staff may access resources at Yorke Institute for research or preparation of training purposes. But staff shall not remove, copy or access Yorke Institute’s documentation, materials or equipment for work unrelated to Yorke Institute.
Staff must obtain approval of Yorke Institute’s Manager prior to the removal, use, copy or access of Yorke Institute’s materials or copyright information. Failure to comply is a serious breach of employment contract and copyright laws.
