The following information must be supplied:

  1. Company profile
  2. Three Australian referees with contact details

Once we are satisfied with the information in support of your application, our staff will send you an Agency Agreement to read, sign and return. The criteria for becoming an agent is stipulated in the Agency Agreement. However, in brief, as stated in the Agency Agreement, agents must not act in any dishonest practices, including:

  • Suggesting to prospective students that they may come to Australia on a student visa with a primary purpose other than full time study;
  • Facilitate applications for prospective students who do not comply with visa requirements;
  • Provide prospective students with ‘immigration advice’ as defined in the Migration Act 1958 unless the Agent is separately registered under that Act;
  • Give a prospective student inaccurate information about Yorke Institute

Yorke Institute also has in place monitoring processes for Agents. This includes agent’s compliance with the terms and conditions in the Agency Agreement. All representative agents must have an Agency Agreement with Yorke Institute and a Certificate of Appointment to:

  • Promote Yorke Institute and the Programs in the Territory
  • Assist in the recruitment of prospective students to undertake the Programs;
  • Provide prospective students with all necessary information about the Programs, Yorke Institute and services and assistance in completing and submitting application forms to Yorke Institute;
  • Arrange for English language testing of prospective students under the relevant Australian laws; and
  • Perform any other services and provide any reports or information requested by Yorke Institute
